Mechanised ultrasonic testing with new technology

Effective immediately, INCOS GmbH uses a new system for mechanised ultrasonic testing. It replaces the ultrasonic testing device (Tomoscan/Tracker) that has been successfully employed for many years in the area of corrosion testing and consists also of a multichannel ultrasonic unit (Omniscan) as well as a self-propelled manipulator (Tri-Pod). The unit will be employed to continue already proven tests such as wall thickness measurements on tanks, pipes in monitored plants and to handle new tasks, e.g. in the area of array technology.

Without requiring a scaffold the manipulator, held only by its magnetic wheels, manages comprehensive test on tank walls and roofs, apparatuses and pipe assemblies; what's more, the testing system delivers meaningful, reproducible test results than can be represented in table format but also graphically as ultrasound A, B or C-image.

With this new testing system INCOS continues the tradition of relying on proven technology while pursuing new avenues in ultrasonic testing technology.
